This is one of the popular STAT services of Skyscape
that they all provide for free.
Here on the iPhone MedAlerts is the first STAT
service available and we can expect others to join
soon such as Skyscape CME.
The alerts are all evidence based and each article is
appropriately detailed with succinct information for
the practicing physician.
Pros:
- Free
- Contents from trusted resources such as peer
reviewed journals and FDA.
- Speciality customized.
- Push notifications over the air.
- Frequent updates.
- Unlike the Palm and Pocket PC versions, the iPhone
version does not come with a free PC MedAlerts.
- Speciality filtering does seem to be as effective as in
the other versions.
- No landscape mode.
- Cannot save favorites and cannot send emails of
the interesting news.
- No smartlinking to other titles.
